Enjoy Your Inner Peace!
Life is
meant to be joyous,
peaceful, and
prosperous. How
did you feel
when you read that just
now? I find that
when we hear the truth,
it really resonates with
us. And peace is
the truth of you.
A dear
friend of mine shared
the piece below with me,
and I've shared it with
many of my friends and
clients. All who
read it are touched by
it in some way.
The
Symptoms of Inner Peace
by Saskia Davis
- A
tendency to think
and act
spontaneously rather
than act in response
to fears based on
past experiences.
-
An unmistakable
ability to enjoy
each moment.
- A
loss of interest in
judging other
people.
- A
loss of interest in
judging oneself.
- A
loss of interest in
interpreting the
actions of others.
- A
loss of interest in
conflict.
- A
loss of ability to
worry (a very
serious symptom).
-
Frequent
overwhelming
episodes of
appreciation.
-
Contented feelings
of connectedness
with others and with
nature.
-
Frequent attacks of
smiling.
-
An increasing
tendency to let
things happen rather
than make them
happen.
-
An increased
susceptibility to
the love extended by
others as well as
the
uncontrollable urge
to extend it.
Just
imagine what your 2009
will be like if you were
to exhibit these
symptoms more often!
Your
Two-Week Action Plan:
-
Spend a little time
reflecting on the
following questions:
When did you last
exhibit the symptoms
of inner peace?
Where were you?
What were you doing?
Were you alone, or
with someone else?
-
Using clues from
your answers above,
calendar some time
in the next 2 weeks
to participate in an
activity that brings
you inner peace.
-
Make sure that your
2009 goals include
at least one
activity that brings
you peace.
