It's All in the Rhythm!
We had an interesting
discussion in one of my
Abundance Power groups about
the Law of Rhythm, and how
you must live in harmony
with this law if you want to
live abundantly.
Lately I've been noticing my
own rhythms as a business
owner. When I take an
afternoon off and do
something fun or even "do
nothing," I'm always
rewarded in the days that
follow with incredible
spurts of creativity and
productivity. I'm
better able to serve my
mission when I pay attention
to and honor my own rhythms!
I ran across an excerpt
this week from a book called
"the Music of Life."
It mentioned that the whole
western way of life contains
far too much activity for
people to truly be in
balance. I've also
seen the statistics showing
that although our country is
one of the most prosperous
in the world, we have
extremely high incidences of
depression and suicide.
How possible is it that
the concepts of rhythm and
balance are critical when it
comes to creating and living
the lives we really
want?
And most importantly to
you, how balanced
does your life feel
right now? Are you
consciously living your
priorities in every area
of your life? How
satisfied are you with your
family life right now?
Your social life? Your
spiritual life? Your
health?
In order for you to have
the energy to live your
priorities, you've got to be
taking good care of you.
When you're tired, you must
rest. When your body
is hungry you must feed it.
When your spirit is hungry,
you must nourish it.
And when you've lost your
creativity and productivity,
you must stop, rest, and
recharge. How closely
are you paying
attention to the rhythm of
your own personal needs?
How might your life be
different if you continue to
find ways to honor your own
rhythms?
I guarantee that if you
start meeting your needs for
rhythm and balance, you'll
move closer to living
your ideal life!
Your Two-Week
Action Plan
- Pay attention to
your own rhythms for a
week. How well are you
honoring the needs of
your mind, your body,
and your spirit?
- Identify one
specific need you could
do a better job of
meeting.
- Try one or two ways
of meeting that need
during week #2.
- Notice what changes
for you as a result.
