"Cleo"

Cleo came to live with us in January of 2000. She had been retired by her breeder due to a shattered kneecap, and I offered to take her and try to finish her. She won her finishing major under Hound expert Dr Jose Luis Payro shortly thereafter. She was a real blessing, a joy to live with. She spent a great deal of time learning to do the thing her father loved best, which was being a Therapy dog at the Nursing home I work for. In addition to that, she blessed us in September 2000 with a beautiful litter of puppies sired by Ch. Lyrix Hall of Flame.   In December 2000 she underwent surgery to repair a dislocated hip that happened while trying to chase a squirrel over a 6 ft. fence.  In March of 2001, the hip dislocated again, and she died in surgery.  We are so thankful that we were able to share part of her life.  Her daughter Buzzy keeps her spirit alive in our house...she is truly her mother's daughter.
