Hobbes was a shining star as a puppy, finishing at 10 months of age, with 4 Majors, two of which were Best Of Breeds over top Specials, and a Group placement. Although never seriously campaigned, as a Special he was in the Top 20 two years and has a Specialty Best to his credit. His career as a stud dog has also been fairly limited, but he has sired 14 AKC Champions to date, with several more major pointed and within a few points of finishing. His biggest contribution was enriching the lives of his family, and all the residents of the nursing home he visited as a Therapy Dog. We lost Hobbes to bone cancer at 10 years of age. Our lives will never be the same.
