I bought Eagle from Earl Miner when he was 4 years old. I was grooming for Earl at the time, and Eagle and I had gotten to be good friends. He had a lot of trouble trusting humans, had been with several different handlers and didn't like dogshows much. After he lived with me and learned to trust me, he finished his Championship in less than 6 months.
