En plein air is a French expression which means "in the open air", and is particularly used to describe the act of painting in the outside environment rather than indoors (such as in a studio).  Terry is one of the founding members of the Plein Air Artists of Riverside. She participates in painting outings twice monthly with her group and paints when on vacation in Puerto Vallarta. Living in Southern California the weather is so perfect for this style of painting. She has taken workshops from Susan Sarback (author of "Color and light", and from Robin Hall. She continues to create her own style capturing the light on her subjects. Below are Plein Air paintings that she has incorporated into her giclee print and notecard line.
